Construction of Brighton Honeycomb

Select the repeat size of the weave design.

The design should be multiple of 4. I.e. - 8X8, 16X16.

(For 4X4 design is the same as plain weave so, it is not considered for size. Going further and 8X8, 12X12, 16X16 are applicable.)

Construct a straight right or left-hand simple twill line.

Then draw similar two opposite direction parallel twill lines with one square down and one square up as a starting point.

(In this step, starting from one square down and one square up from the top left-hand corner for right-hand twill and vice versa. This will create a clean intersection of one and two parallel twill lines.)

From the upper step, a cross-type design generates by a single diagonal line that crosses two parallel diagonal lines.

Maximum floats for Brighton honeycomb weave design is one less than half number of threads per repeat. (maximum float is N/2-1 where N is a number of repeat sizes).

Consider the first bottom point of double diagonal lines, as the last point for Z-type single diagonal line, and the first point for S- type single diagonal line, of maximum float in the weft direction.

Then create maximum float in the weft direction and reduce that in such a way that it will create a cell/diamond-like structure that also has a maximum float in the warp direction.

For stitching points and better looks purpose, leave a row above and below during construct a diamond/cell shape between cross lines.
